FDA Disclaimer.
Required regulatory information about how dietary supplements are classified and what claims we can and cannot make.
The required FDA statement.
These statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.
This disclaimer is required by U.S. federal law for all dietary supplements sold in the United States. It applies to every claim we make about Sauna Method on our website, our packaging, our marketing materials, and our customer communications.
What dietary supplements are.
Under the Dietary Supplement Health and Education Act of 1994 (DSHEA), dietary supplements are a category of food products — not drugs. They are regulated by the FDA under food law, not drug law.
This means:
- Supplements do not require FDA pre-approval before being sold
- Manufacturers, not the FDA, are responsible for ensuring product safety
- Supplements may make "structure/function" claims (e.g., "supports hydration") but cannot make disease claims (e.g., "treats dehydration disorder")
- Manufacturers must follow Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) as defined in 21 CFR Part 111
Sauna Method is manufactured in an FDA-registered, cGMP-certified facility in the United States.
What we claim, and what we don't.
What we say: Sauna Method is formulated to support hydration during and after sauna use. We make structure/function claims grounded in peer-reviewed research on electrolyte loss, sodium replacement, and oxidative stress during heat exposure.
What we don't say: Sauna Method does not cure, treat, prevent, or diagnose any disease. We do not claim it provides medical benefits beyond hydration support. We do not market it as a substitute for medical care.
If you have a medical condition or are taking medications, consult your physician before using any dietary supplement, including Sauna Method.
Safety and quality testing.
Every batch of Sauna Method is tested for:
- Heavy metals (lead, arsenic, cadmium, mercury) below California Proposition 65 thresholds
- Microbiological safety per USP <2021> and <2022> standards
- Active ingredient identity and potency per cGMP requirements
- Mineral content uniformity across multiple sampling points
A Certificate of Analysis (CoA) is available for any batch upon request. Contact us at shop@drinksaunamethod.com with your order number.
